🔥 Sparks are flying in Textile and Design! 🧵✨

Our HS students put their fiber knowledge to the ultimate heat test in this hands-on fiber identification lab! 🧪✂️

By safely burning fabric samples and activating their senses, students observed flame reactions, burn patterns, and odors to crack the code on natural vs. synthetic fibers. The verdict? They successfully identified cotton, wool, acrylic, polyester, and nylon! 🧠💡

Why the burn test? Knowing your fibers is a total game-changer for future projects and ensures students know exactly how different fabrics react to hot irons and design tools. 🔥👕

A huge shoutout goes to Mrs. Weishaar for coordinating this engaging, hands-on activity!

Huge shoutout to all of our students and families who showed up ready to talk big dreams and big plans. And a giant thank you to our visiting college reps—traveling during peak fall recruiting season is no joke, but you brought the energy (and the best brochures).

It's the dawn of a new era. 🌅 This past Friday morning before school at 6 am, the class of 2027 took over Raider Stadium for the annual Senior Sunrise! Huge shoutout to our incredible HS Student Council for serving up breakfast as students arrived. As the sun came up, students were able to reflect on how far they’ve come—and all the unforgettable memories waiting them this year. The countdown to graduation starts now! 🎓💥

What's wrong with this picture? Nothing. In fact, this is setting a standard of excellence.

For the past several years, our Bleacher Creatures have led the charge with the rest of our student body in helping clean up the bleachers after home games to show appreciation for our facilities and to help our custodial staff. These are student leaders responsible for facilitating school spirit during games.

They know appearances matter, both during games and afterwards. This is a test of character, and they rise to the challenge every time.

Let's shout these students out and give them some of our appreciation for helping lead the charge and showing what it means to live out "The Raider Way"!
