Founded in 1935, Hudson Bands provide rich and extensive musical opportunities for students starting in the youngest grades of the program at East Woods Intermediate School. Worthwhile experiences await middle and high school musicians in ability-based concert bands and jazz bands, marching band, chamber ensembles, honor bands, and more. Both concert and marching bands at Hudson have found success

at state, regional, and national festivals over the decades, with recent accolades in Norfolk and Williamsburg, Virginia during the 2024 music department trip. The HHS Wind Ensemble routinely earns “Superior” ratings at the OMEA Large Group Adjudicated Event and many students earn high marks at Solo & Ensemble. The Hudson High School "Swing" Marching Band is “The Pride of Hudson!” and is known across our region for its high-energy performances rooted in a unique marching style and choreographed dance moves. This year, the band celebrates 90 years of music and marching at Friday night football games, Saturday band festivals, and a storied list of appearances for the National Football League!

Tag Day is Saturday, August 22! This is our annual fundraiser which benefits ALL of our music programs - band, choir, orchestra, and jazz. Funds raised are used to support our goal and mission, such as providing instruments, uniforms, trips, camps, scholarships, performances, and other enrichment opportunities. Every contribution makes a meaningful difference, and we are incredibly grateful for your generosity.
