The Hudson Day Care Center We are a non-profit corporation, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) We have been serving the community since 1969.

Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing and enriching environment for all children. Each day has a balanced schedule of activities including free play (indoors and out), art, music, academic learning, stories, and nap. Our environment is designed to be stimulating. Educational activities are based on the need of each individual child with the emphasis of language, intellectual, physical, social a

nd emotional growth. We encourage "self help" in the areas of the doll corner, block building and house keeping (cleaning up, putting toys back in their proper place). We provide breakfast, a hot lunch and an afternoon snack. All food is prepared on sight and in accordance with state guidelines of nutrition. We are a non-profit corporation, licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) The Hudson day care center serve fifty-five children, ages six weeks to five years old: 8 infants, 15 toddlers, 26 preschoolers and 6 afterschool kids ( 5yrs- 9yrs). We are regularly inspected by local Fire and Health Departments. The Hudson Day Care is governed by the Board of Directors which meets monthly. The HDCC is available from 6:30am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday,
except for the following holidays and/or vacations: MLK, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth Of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day & the day after, and the week of Christmas and New Year's Day. Staff
Our curriculum coordinator has a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education. Other staff members are working towards various levels of degrees and certifications. Several staff members hold CDA,CPR certificates and training in First Aid.
