Pretty in pink, with a purpose! 💗

Students, faculty and staff wore pink today to show their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

A collaboration between Health Services and Student Activities brought a pop of color to campus, with student ambassadors serving up pink drinks and a student from SUNY - The State University of New York Empire State Service Corps designing an educational display highlighting breast health and early detection.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, showed their support and helped make the day a success! 💕

Today is an opportunity to learn about and celebrate Indigenous histories, cultures and communities.

There are no classes today, but campus is open! Stop by the library to explore its display and learn more about the Indigenous history of our region. Tomorrow, the college follows a Monday class schedule.

The Columbia-Greene region is part of the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, whose descendants include the Stockbridge-Munsee Community in Wisconsin.

🔎 Undergraduate Research Starts Here!

You don’t have to wait until you earn your associate degree or transfer to a four-year college to explore academic research. At C-GCC, you can start discovering where your interests might take you in your first two years of college.

Alexandra Rowe and Dezjaun Smith recently became the first C-GCC students to attend the Naylor Workshop on Undergraduate Research in Writing Studies, held at York College of Pennsylvania.

With support from Assistant Professor of English Dr. Daniel Hengel, they joined undergraduates from across the country and around the world to share ideas, explore writing studies and connect with fellow researchers.

At C-GCC, learning can take you beyond the classroom. You never know where your interests might lead!

Not to brag, but our Student Activities office is kind of THE BEST. 🍿🍎

This afternoon, students stepped out of class to find fresh popcorn, c***r donuts and a make-your-own beverage bar stocked with lemonade, iced tea and plenty of flavors to mix and match.

Basically, the perfect pick-me-up for a Thursday afternoon — and a pretty great way to kick off the second week of October. 🍂

Congratulations to Kaylynn Massa, one of the first students to complete C-GCC’s Environmental Biology program, on graduating from the New York State Forest Ranger Basic School! 🐻🌲

C-GCC’s Environmental Biology A.S. offers a direct pathway toward meeting the educational requirements for the NYS Forest Ranger civil service exam.

And for eligible New Yorkers ages 25–55, Environmental Biology is tuition-free through SUNY Reconnect.
