Startitis has struck! As soon as I finished the sweater pattern I am editing (more on that this week) the baskets of planned projects were gleeful.
Here’s the ribbed sleeve for my youngest’s SO. This merino wool yarn takes a trip through the washer with no visible effects and is wearing like iron. Soft against the skin…a joy to knit with.

Extreme weather in my neighborhood brings thoughts of winter arriving. Hard to imagine in July, but this is the Hudson Valley and it will be here. Having extra hats on hand to give away/gift is always a good idea.

Anytime the weather keeps you unexpectedly in place, it's nice to have something to do. If you are a knitter, you know the satisfaction you can get from spending time creating soft and warm fabric with yarn and needles. Turn down time into productive time!
This Sunday, Aug 2, at Countrywool, just south of Hudson, NY, on Spring Road, knitters will be learning how to knit with two colors, one in each hand, to create stable and colorful designs in their knitting.

I've been on the lookout for a seamless, top down raglan cardigan pattern (yes, with pockets!) knit with BIG yarn.
I found this one on my radar this morning.
1 strand of LANALOFT WORSTED wool + 1 strand of KID SILK/AERIAL held together will make a super soft and warm sweater.
