Behind Hudson Days: A Committee of Seven

These seven volunteers spent countless hours throughout the year planning, coordinating, fundraising, problem solving and making sure every detail is in place so our community can enjoy the weekend together.

What you see during the weekend is the result of months of hard work by a very small group of people with a big commitment to our community.

🧨Hudson! What.A.Weekend!! 🧨

We have so many thank-you’s to give out, but today we are going to take a little break and get some much needed rest.

As you start looking through your photos from the weekend, don’t forget to send them to the The Hudson Herald for a chance to be featured in next weeks edition.

🎇 We have an amazing day lined up for you!🎇

The parade starts at 10:30 today followed by tons of activities in the park and downtown!

🎟️Kids wristbands will be available for purchase in the park and downtown at the Bingo tent for $15.00, cash only.

💰We have the kids entrepreneurial area in the park as well. Come and support these hard working kids.

🧗 The rock climbing wall will be located in city hall parking lot area* beginning at 1:30!

🎶 The Meanys and The Schmidt Brothers will be taking the main stage tonight!

🧨🎆 Finally, we close out the night with some of the best fireworks around.

Face painting, paintball, Gamez 2 go, kids pedal pull, a caricature artist, teen bean bag tournament, karaoke and so many food and drink vendors, there is something for everyone!

Our friends at St. Timothy Lutheran Church Hudson, Iowa are hosting a movie on the lawn tonight. They are showing ‘Sing’

Pedal Pull registration will begin at 5:30, we know it is going to be hot and the line will be long. There is noting we can do to mitigate this, so please plan accordingly.

We look forward to seeing everyone tonight!

🚨 Schedule update 🚨

Due to a scheduling error, the Gamez 2 Go gameliner will not be able to attend. However; the amazing people Field of Greens Golf Simulator saved the day!! They will be opening their bays for the kids. They have a variety of games like soccer, football, hunting, bowling the list goes on! A wristband is still required to participate in the games and the bays will be open from 5-9 pm tonight and 5-9 pm tomorrow.

Happy Hudson Days Eve!

🔔 Don’t forget that kids chalk entires are due by noon today! We have received a ton of amazing entires so far 🎇

🛑 We will start setting up downtown today. Please make sure you are following the road closed signs around 3:30 today. We have them up for a reason. It is hard to try and park a food trailers with cars and golf carts in the area. We will be setting out no parking cones today downtown as well. If you see a parking space with a cone, please, please don’t park there.

We understand the parking situation downtown is not ideal for the weekend and we appreciate your support.

We can’t wait to see everyone this weekend!
