This week our preschoolers took a trip to outer space during Space Week! They became astronauts, suited up in our astronaut costume, and used their imaginations to explore rockets, planets, and the moon. It was fun watching as the children created their launch crew and had countdowns. There was lots of learning involved as we watched how astronauts brush their teeth and saw a real space launch!

We started our student evaluations this week, which we will share during spring conferences in March.

Next week will be all about Valentines!! ❤️ We will celebrate on Thursday with a party and our Sweetheart Dance! ❤️

It was another cold week for Little Pirates so it seemed fitting that we learn all about penguins! We walked like penguins, learned how to draw a penguin, and found out a lot of interesting facts about them. We ran lots of races during indoor recess! And we learned about the letter J, and ended the month of January. We are looking forward to the month of February and counting to 100 again!!

This week at Little Pirates, our theme centered around Polar Bears, where students discovered unique characteristics such as blue tongues and black skin. Through art, the children explored animal tracks in the snow.

A writing activity 'If I had a polar bear for a pet..' was well-received. Our young learners, aged 4 & 5, have exhibited a keen interest in writing.

We successfully carried out a tornado drill and made the most of indoor recess due to the cold. It has been a week of many engaging activities and learning at Little Pirates. 🏴‍☠️😊🐻‍❄️
