The Six District Educational Compact was established in 1970 and offers 30 Career-Technical Education programs to students in Cuyahoga Falls, Hudson, Kent, Stow-Munroe Falls, Tallmadge, and Woodridge school districts. These CTE programs provide challenging academic and technical content, while connecting students with business and industry area leaders and higher education partners. Students gain
real-world experiences through work based learning, internships, job shadowing and worksite visits all while obtaining specific skills that will prepare them for technical, high-demand jobs. Students may earn college credit while in high school, enter college at a higher readiness level and also obtain high-wage part-time employment to help pay for college. The National Association of Colleges and Employers conducted a survey that revealed the most valued attributes to employers are the ability to solve problems and work as a part of a team. These attributes, combined with an emphasis on the value of leadership and effective communication skills, are all learned in the Six District Educational Compact CTE programs. Throughout the years, the Compact has expanded beyond its original purpose of providing career and technical education and today offers a wide range of initiatives, business services & special events including:
