Today WSWHE BOCES Cosmetology students toured the NYS Capital. Students were able to have a closer look at where the Senate and Assembly meet. We were hoping to gain a little more insight as to why the Beauty Justice Act is being delayed in the Assembly, but was not able to today. Yet we are super thankful for being afforded the opportunity to learn the rich history and details of our NYS Capital.

We would like to thank Nicole (ULTA’s Colonie Center manager) for facilitating a wonderful educational experience through Sylenna (ULTA cosmetologist/makeup artist) for our WSWHE BOCES Cosmetology students. Sylenna did an awesome job of sharing her experience as a cosmetologist; as well as informing us of the benefits of working for ULTA. We loved the finished makeup look from the makeup application Sylenna performed on our student. Also, we learned ULTA offers much more than just makeup. In addition to makeup ULTA offers facials, hair removal, brow tinting, brow lamination, lashes, ear piercing, hair color services, hair cuts, hair styling, hair braiding, and hair extensions.
