Warrior Academy received four stars out of a possible five overall in its 2026 state report card, released September 15. The school also received a full five stars in both gap closing and graduation rate.
This is the third year for Warrior Academy, but the first in which the school was able to submit a complete data set for evaluation.
Warrior Academy, according to the school handbook, is “a placement designed to provide an education for students when attending the home buildings is not an option.” The most typical factors for that placement are disciplinary or medical reasons, hardships, and other extenuating circumstances. Classes are fully online and regularly scheduled in-person sessions take place after school hours for one-on-one assistance.
Principal Tammy Helton gave credit to Alicia Flores, Warrior Academy dean in its first two years, for the state report card success.
“Warrior Academy was created to meet the diverse needs of our students and provide a path to success for every learner," Helton said. "We did that, thanks to Alicia Flores! Now we can focus on making each student’s experience more personal and preparing them for what comes next—whether that’s college, the military, a career, or another path toward a successful future.”
The graduation rate for each of the last two years has been 100 percent. The Gap Closing component shows how well schools and districts are meeting the performance expectations for students in English language arts, math, and graduation. It also measures how well schools and districts are reducing chronic absenteeism, supporting English learners to increase language proficiency, identifying gifted students, and providing gifted services to those gifted students.
