Children who are exposed to reading and many books as early as possible will become outstanding readers! Check out the Children's Room at Hubbard Public Library for diverse, myriad wonderful choices! And, while you are at the library, visit and browse the "Ongoing Sale Shelves" on the first floor. This "Ongoing Sale" has numerous children's books for sale, and they are only $0.25 each (that' correct, just a quarter each)! And, all proceeds to Friends support the library! For payment, there is a box on the shelves, and both cash and checks are accepted!

Upcoming celebrations! September is traditionally "Library Card Sign-Up Month." So, if you don't already have a library card for Hubbard Public Library, this will be an ideal opportunity to sign-up for one! And, new card holders and current card holders can take time to explore the library and discover all the ways in which the library and the wonderful people who work there assist patrons, new and current, with school, studies, books, interesting and entertaining programs, non-book items from the "Library of Things" and/or the "Toy Lending Library," beautiful outdoor resources such as the Sensory Garden, the Permanent StoryWalk, the outdoor musical instruments (three Sunflower Petal Drums!), and much, much more!

September is approaching fast, which means is just around the corner! Is your library ready?

This year’s theme is “A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes,” and we hope you encourage your communities to B sharp and sign up for a library card. ALA has resources to help your library celebrate all September, including free graphics in English and Spanish, sample proclamations and press releases, outreach ideas, and official merchandise for purchase.

Libraries and library workers. And Hubbard is blessed with the amazing and unique Hubbard Public Library and all the library workers there who make the library 'unique and amazing and beyond...' Be certain to thank the library workers at Hubbard Public Library for all they do! Thank them every time you visit the library!

In celebration of National Library Week, ALA President Sam Helmick writes:
