HANDS-ON LEARNING IN HOXIE AGRI!

Our Ag students have been putting their skills to work by building planter boxes for their Plant Science program

This hands-on project gives students the opportunity to use practical skills while creating something that will be used to support their learning in plant science. We love seeing our students work together, build, create, and learn!

Great job, Hoxie Ag students! We can't wait to see the finished planter boxes in use!

A SWEET HOMECOMING TREAT IS COMING TO HOXIE!

We are excited to announce that 870SNOW will be on campus on Homecoming Day, Friday, September 11!

Snow cones will be available for $3.00 each!

Elementary Students: Order forms will be sent home with students.

High School Students: Snow cones can be purchased on the day of the event.

But the fun doesn't stop there! 870SNOW will also be at the Hoxie Homecoming Game Friday night!

Celebrate Homecoming with a sweet treat and come support the Mustangs!

COOKING ON A BUDGET!

Coach Parmer's Enrichment class has been learning that you can make delicious food without spending a fortune! This week, students have been getting hands-on in the kitchen while learning how to cook on a budget.

Monday: Students made homemade salsa.
Tuesday: Students learned how to make guacamole.
Today: Students made Verde Salsa!

We love seeing our students learn practical life skills while having fun in the process. Great job, Coach Parmer's Enrichment class!

Who knows what delicious creation they'll make next?

HONORING THE LIFE & LEGACY OF ROBERT PRATT

The Hoxie School District would like to take a moment to honor the life and legacy of Robert Pratt, a former Hoxie School Board member and a longtime friend and supporter of Hoxie Schools.

Robert's commitment to our students, staff, and school district could be seen in so many ways throughout the years. He generously supported countless Hoxie activities and organizations, helped fund student field trips, and loaned equipment to our maintenance department on numerous occasions.

His support of Hoxie Athletics was also evident through his purchase of the player foul board in the Mustang Gym, a contribution that continues to serve our student-athletes and fans.

Most recently, Robert showed his continued dedication to our students through his generosity toward the Hoxie Agri Program, donating numerous tools and supplies and helping provide the resources needed to renovate a new barn for our students.

But beyond these specific contributions, Robert was a loyal supporter of the Hoxie School District in countless other ways. His generosity, willingness to help, and belief in our students made a lasting impact on our school and community.

We are incredibly grateful for the many ways Robert invested in Hoxie Schools and the young people of our community. His legacy of service and generosity will not be forgotten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Robert's family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Thank you, Robert, for always believing in Hoxie and supporting our Mustangs. Your legacy will continue through the students and programs you helped along the way.

Forever a Mustang. Forever remembered.

FOX FOOTBALL FACEOFF — LET’S VOTE FOR THE MUSTANGS!

104.9 The Fox and Jonesboro Media Group are highlighting a game each week during football season.

Starting Monday, August 31, Hoxie fans can vote for the Mustangs by texting MUSTANGES to 870-930-9105!

The school receiving the most votes will earn a $250 check for their school’s booster club!

The Fox will be at the Westside game from 5:00–7:00 PM, and the winning team will be announced by the public address announcer during the game.
