A strong school community begins with strong family partnerships. Takini School was pleased to host our Open House and Welcome Back BBQ, bringing together students, parents, staff, and community members to celebrate the beginning of a new academic year.

Families had the opportunity to visit classrooms, connect with teachers, and learn about the learning experiences awaiting their children this year. The evening was filled with great food, meaningful conversations, and exciting raffle drawings for participating parents. Thank you to everyone who joined us as we continue working together to support student achievement and lifelong learning.

Our 7th grade students are kicking off the first week of school by creating beautiful pe**te stitch beaded writing pens! 🖊️💙

We have an exciting attendance incentive for our students! 🎡🎠🤠

Students in 1st–12th grade who have PERFECT ATTENDANCE from August 24th through September 2nd will earn a field trip to the CRST Fair & Rodeo! 🎉

🎟️ Carnival tickets will be provided
🍔 Meals will be provided
🚌 Takini School will provide transportation for students only

We encourage our Skyhawks to show up every day, work hard, and earn a fun day at the fair! ⭐

Parents/Guardians: If you would like to check your child out while at the fair, please complete a student check-out form either at the school before the event or at the fair.

We would like to let our families know that there will be no school on Thursday, August 20, due to a community member’s funeral taking place in the Takini School gymnasium.

School will resume on Friday, August 21, 2026, as a regular school day.

We appreciate your understanding, compassion, and continued support as we come together as a community during this time.

Cherry Creek Bus Announcement

For the safety of our students, the Cherry Creek bus is returning to Takini School due to high winds. Once the wind conditions improve and it is safe to travel, the bus driver will transport students home to Cherry Creek.

This announcement is for the Cherry Creek bus route only.
