A big thank you to Miss Elise from Nebraska Extension in Colfax County for coming to visit our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students for some fun and educational pumpkin lessons! 🧡

Our students had a wonderful time learning all about pumpkins! They got to:
📚 Read about the different kinds of pumpkins
🌱 Learn about the life cycle of a pumpkin
✂️ Create their very own pumpkin life cycle
🧡 Feel and explore the inside of a real pumpkin
🥧 Make their very own pumpkin pie!

What a fun, hands-on learning experience! We are so thankful for opportunities like these that allow our students to explore, discover, and learn in exciting new ways! 🍁

Thank you, Miss Elise, for sharing your time and knowledge with our students! 🧡🎃

💙 HAPPY GRANDPARENTS’ DAY! 💙

HCCS students had a very special morning celebrating their grandparents! 🥰
Our students celebrated Mass with their grandparents, enjoyed cookies and refreshments, and had the opportunity to visit each classroom. Each grandparent went home with a special picture or craft made by their grandchild! ❤️

Thank you to all of our wonderful grandparents for joining us and making the morning so special! We are incredibly grateful for the love, wisdom, and support you give our students!

Happy Grandparents’ Day! We love our HCCS grandparents! 💜🙏🍪📸
