Bio:
Bonnie Walworth is a lifelong resident of Michigan, having lived across both the Lower and Upper Peninsulas. She has always been captivated by learning and learning well—especially the kind of knowledge that shapes character, strengthens understanding, and points the heart toward God.

Bonnie earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and later completed her Master's in Library and Information Science at Wayne State University, with a concentration in Archival Administration. That training led her to the Ford Motor Company Corporate Archives, where she spent about ten years preserving historical records so that important materials could be understood by future generations.

Now, as a Classical Christian educator teaching 3rd through 5th grade, Bonnie brings both a love of learning and a deep respect for the Lord's design in teaching. Her desire is simple and steady: to help young people see God's goodness, truth, and beauty—making Scripture central and emphasizing that the Lord is the teacher behind every lesson. In her classroom, students don't simply memorize facts; they learn to think, to read closely, and to connect what they study to the reality that God is speaking through His world.

Bonnie is also deeply committed to strengthening families. She has been married for over twenty years and has one daughter, who was homeschooled and will now be enrolled at Tyndale Classical Academy. She knows firsthand the joys and responsibilities of partnering with parents in a child's education, and she hopes to offer that same encouragement to other families—creating a warm, serious, and academically rich environment for students.

Beyond her teaching, Bonnie enjoys reading, camping, and visiting historic sites—interests that reflect her belief that learning is meant to be lived. She teaches from a place of conviction: God is good, His truth is real, and learning is a gift meant to draw hearts closer to Him.

"I couldn’t be more excited to begin teaching at Tyndale Classical Academy in the fall!

I was born and raised in Michigan and was privileged to grow up in a Christian home with two Christian school teacher parents. I’ve always joked that teaching runs in my blood! After high school, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Education from Maranatha Baptist University through its online program, and I will receive my master’s degree in Education from the same institution this spring.

After completing my undergraduate degree, I taught at a Christian school here in Michigan for three years. Not only did I get to exercise my passion for teaching there, but I also found my husband, Joel. During my second year, Joel said “hello” to me for the first time in March. We were married the following November. We have now been happily married for two and a half years and are looking forward to many more years together!

God has given me a passion for education, specifically Christian education. We are commanded to “do all to the glory of God,” including educating the next generation. My greatest desire is to help parents succeed in their God-given mission to educate their children, to come alongside them as a support, and to help raise up a generation of Christian young people who are deep thinkers, avid readers, and devoted followers of Christ. I look forward to cultivating a love of learning in my students this school year!"

Bio:
Elise Warner was blessed to receive a classical Christian education from elementary school through college. She graduated high school from a brick-and-mortar classical Christian school in the greater Seattle area and received her Bachelor's in the Classical Liberal Arts from New Saint Andrews College. She married her classmate, Josiah Warner, in 2015. In 2023, they relocated their family to Michigan for Josiah to complete his residency in Child Neurology at the University of Michigan.

Elise grew up in a musical family, sang in choirs, select vocal groups, and as a soloist for concerts, events, and musicals. She took advanced music theory during her time at New Saint Andrews College and was blessed by multiple music teachers to be taught via the Kodaly methodology. In 2024, she taught children (ages 3-10 yo) through First Steps in Music, a research-based methodology developed by Dr. John Feierabend designed to help children become tuneful, beat-ful, and artful. She firmly believes that Christians are called to be a singing people and is excited to train up some of the next generation to be just that.

Elise also has ten years of Latin experience, including three years under the instruction of Mr. Tim Griffith, professor at New Saint Andrews College and author of the Picta Dicta curriculum. Mr. Griffith opened her eyes to all that Latin ought to be for a classical student, and she is looking forward to introducing students to the language that shaped much of Western Culture.

She and Josiah have four children, the two oldest of whom will be attending Tyndale. When she has free time, you can find her dabbling in writing, learning how to garden, and baking in the kitchen.

FAQ: What is the "Quadrivium"?

While the trivium is the pillar of language, the quadrivium is the educational pillar composed of the arts related to understanding the natural world–arithmetic, geometry, astronomy, and music. These natural studies find their culmination in our curricula of mathematics, science, and music.

Bio:
Hello, I am thrilled to be a part of Tyndale Classical Academy! I was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin. I was blessed to have attended our church's elementary school, where my mom taught 2nd grade my entire childhood and was also my teacher. I discovered my love for teaching after many years of helping in my mom's classroom and seeing many other godly teachers pour into their students. I cannot wait to train up thinkers who know God to be not only the author and perfector of our lives, but of each and every subject we will study.

Upon graduation from high school, I attended Wheaton College. I come from a deep heritage of Wheaton College graduates on both sides of my family, which meant a great deal to me. I knew I wanted to follow in the footsteps of my family and pursue my teaching degree at Wheaton while also growing deeper in my understanding of Christ.

I met my husband, Isaac, in my freshman year, and we were married in January of our senior year. After graduation, we moved back to his home state of California. I taught in the public schools for 3 years before starting our family. After 18 wonderful years in California, God called us here to Michigan. We are overjoyed to see God's hand in this move, and we pray we continue to be steadfast in hearing His calling for our family.

Isaac and I have six wonderful children. Raising and homeschooling our six children using a classical, Christ-centered methodology has been a true joy. Our oldest two now attend Logos Online Classical School, which continues to align with our commitment to pursue virtuous scholarship for our children. We are excited for three of our children to attend Tyndale, while the youngest will be cheering on everyone.

When I have free time, you can find me in the kitchen baking with my girls. I also enjoy traveling, playing games with my family, quilting, learning to garden, and working out.
