Bus 60 is not currently running, the students have been placed on other busses to get them home. Sorry for the late notice we just found out 60 wasn’t running.

It was great having the Hutchings Senior Class in for breakfast today!

Families,

Due to staffing constraints on Friday 3/25 I am asking that all families e-mail their classroom teachers or inform the office today or tomorrow BEFORE 12:00 if there is a change in dismissal for Friday.

We have been getting a plethora of questions about it, we are going to be missing quite a few teachers tomorrow (Friday 3/25) so the sooner we know dismissal changes the more likely we can accommodate those requests in a timely fashion.

Families,

Today and tomorrow we are going to be sending home our One School One Book book, Stella Diaz Never Gives Up from the Stella Diaz series. Each family would receive one book, not one book per student. This year we have some great activities the students will participate in from Pen Pals, Virtual Field Trips, School Wide Trivia, and much more.

Some of the staff (despite my best efforts to get them to relax over break) came in and decorated the school as well.

You can use the links below with your students. We’ve recorded the entire book with different teachers reading different chapters if you would like to listen to them, we have a calendar of events, and a document that has translations for some of the Spanish words that are in the book.

There is nothing like a Michigan snowfall to remind everyone that in order to play outside in the snow students in grades BK-5 need to have the following.

Snow pants
Boots
Coat
Gloves
Hat
Extra Socks (good idea)

If you can also help us to remind students that while it’s fun to hit mom and dad with snow at home we cannot throw snow at school. Your reminders about it make all the difference.

Labeling the items above is always a good idea as well. “Have you seen my black glove?” is a top 3 question we will get in the office everyday.
