Maternal mental health matters ๐
Becoming a parent can be a beautiful, life-changing experience, but it can also be overwhelming and exhausting. New parents may experience sadness, anxiety, irritability, difficulty bonding, intrusive thoughts, sleep or eating challenges, or simply feel like theyโre not themselves.
Thatโs why we include resources in the Welcome Baby Bags we share with new families. We want parents to know they are not alone, what theyโre feeling matters, and support is available.
Taking care of yourself is taking care of your baby โค๏ธ

We had such a fun time at Ready, Set, School today with Livingston County Health Department at 242 Community Center Brighton ๐๐
It was so great chatting with so many kids and families getting ready for the big transition to preschool and kindergarten. We made colorful paper chains to help count down the days until school starts and gave away some great books to help families build excitement for the year ahead!
We love helping kids feel confident, excited and READY for school โ๏ธ๐๐ Make it a great year!

We are so thrilled to see a brand new lactation room at Livingston Educational Service Agency!
Creating supportive spaces for families matters. A comfortable, private place to feed or pump can make it easier for parents to continue breastfeeding while balancing work and everyday life.
Supporting breastfeeding families helps create a community where families feel welcomed and supported from the very beginning.
Happy World Breastfeeding Month! ๐ผ๐
