Why do you think reading is important?
LCLC’s purpose is to promote literacy in the county, to assist the following:
1. All who want to learn to read or read better
2.
LCLC was founded with the purpose of coordinating existing literacy resources in Livingston County, identifying literacy needs in the community, as well as training tutors and providing tutoring to adults with reading needs. Volunteers, who want to tutor or assist in projects
3. Referrals, who know of someone in need of literacy tutoring
4. County agencies, who need to know where to refer their clients
5. County resources, who are offering literacy help
