I have been so busy with life that I haven't updated this page in a hot minute. Im still caring for littles in my Licensed in home daycare if anyone was wondering. This Howe location is still in progress and pending.

Well, I thought I'd give some updates here on the Center. After that last crazy storm, the building and playground did get some damage. After repairing that, I spent an entire day choping down as much of the forest behind the building as possible only to get covered in poison Sumac which lead me to an ER visit. It's been I guess, a bit over a month now and I'm finally healing from that mess. Just as I thought things would be getting easier, nope, I get thrown into another mess. Now, the city is requesting I get a survey and an engineer to come out and redo a plat so that I can get approval from the city to rezone this building. This is adding up to another 60 days on top of the 42 days Childcare Regulation needs in order to give me the go to open. Lordy, if it's not one thing, it's another. It's going to be okay though because if there's a will, there's a way. I may not get to open when I wanted to but I guess I'll open when the good lord says it's time to. For those saying it's easy to open a childcare center, it's not.

Okay parents, I know it's been awhile since I've come on here to give any updates. I've been super busy trying to get this new center up and running. The city finally fixed the water main leak. It's had plenty of time to dry out. Now we are busy putting the playground together. I have reached out to the city for my Certificate of Occupancy permit and fire inspection, those are underway so yay for that. Although, it's just the beginning of the madness of all the red tape I've got to go through in order to start serving our community families. Per childcare regulation, It will take up to 42 days of inspection process before I receive my Center License. However, I've got to get the following completed first:

Engineering inspection
Fire inspection
Certificate of occupancy
Gas pressure test
Health inspection
Childcare licensing paperwork and grounds inspections
Hiring personnel
Training personnel

And finally..... Grand Opening

In case you were wondering, yes, it takes A LOT to open a childcare center.

Let's not forget the year and half of putting in 100 hours a week of work between caring for children and remodeling this building 😬

It will be so worth it in the end though and I cannot wait 🥰

Center Update! As of right now, we are in somewhat of a limbo state due to a water main break located in the ditch running along side the service road. The water is running through our playground area and we are waiting for the city to get this repaired. Once this has been repaired and our playground dries out, we can finally get our playground put together! Once that has been completed, we will start the process of getting all of our inspections done!

Okay parents!! We are so close to that finish line we can taste it lol.. Our remodel is almost complete. Once that has been completed; we will do a deep clean and finish stocking each room!! The time frame to get this thing stocked with furniture, toys, and supplies, as well as our playground is really dependent on product supply and shipping times so we can't pinpoint how long that will take. So again, just bear with us please!! Thank you all so much for the support and interest in our new Childcare Center ❤️

Center update: We are still in the remodel phase and will be there for awhile. Once the building has been completed, we have to finish the fence and then contact Childcare Regulations to have our license transfered from a licensed home to a licensed center. Our Center opening timeframe will be dependent on the state. However, we will keep everyone updated.
