Device insurance for the 2026–2027 school year is now available for purchase! Families can purchase the Howe ISD iPad Protection Plan through the same LINQ Connect portal used for school meal accounts.

Want Device Insurance for FREE?

Families who complete a Free and Reduced Lunch Application for the 2026–2027 school year will receive device insurance at no cost, even if they do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

The important part is simply completing the application for this school year. You can find the application in LINQ Connect under Meal Applications.

Purchasing or receiving device insurance helps protect your family from unexpected costs if a district-issued iPad is accidentally damaged during the school year.

If you have more than one student with a district-issued device, please make sure coverage is completed for each applicable student.

💉 No Vaccines, No School

Per Texas state law, all required immunization records or valid exemptions must be on file by 8:00 AM on August 12, 2026.

Students without the required documentation will be sent home on the first day of school and may not return until their immunization records or exemption paperwork has been received.

Need vaccinations?
Passport Health will be onsite at Summit Hill on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 8:00 AM–11:00 AM to provide immunizations.

💉 Sin vacunas, no hay clases

De acuerdo con la ley del estado de Texas, los registros de vacunación requeridos o una exención válida deben entregarse antes de las 8:00 a. m. del 12 de agosto de 2026.

💊 Medication Reminder for Families

Does your student need medication during the school day? Our campus nurses are happy to help!

Please remember that all medications, including prescription and over-the-counter medications, must be brought to the nurse’s office and signed in by a parent or guardian. For everyone’s safety, medications should not be sent to school with students.

🎒 A Simple Back-to-School Reminder for All Families

Unexpected moments can happen during the school day, from spills and playground messes to weather changes and other accidents. We encourage every student, regardless of age or grade level, to keep a complete change of clothing at school.

Please place the clothing in a labeled bag with your child’s name. Having fresh clothes available helps students feel comfortable, confident, and ready to return to learning as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your help in making sure students are prepared and comfortable throughout the school day. ❤️🐾
