✨ Taiwo Anuoluwapo Adebiyi received the Andrea Prosperetti Research Computing Student Award Recognized for exceptional achievement in scientific computing and data science in Civil and Environmental Engineering.

✨ Daniel Floryan, the Kalsi Assistant Professor of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering was honored with the Andrea Prosperetti Research Computing Faculty Award for impactful contributions in scientific computing and data science.

UH’s Mim Rahimi and Ph.D. alum Abdelrahman Refaie are taking marine carbon capture to the next level by enhancing what the ocean already does best.

Oceans absorb nearly 30% of global CO₂ each year. Their electrochemical approach, e‑mCDR, boosts that capacity to pull more carbon from the air and lock it away long term.

Sergey Shevkoplyas has been inducted into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering College of Fellows, one of the field’s highest honors.
