Thornwood Open House on September 10th from 5:00-6:30pm. At 5:00 we will start our meeting with our Title 1 presentation and important information about Thornwood. We will also hear from our PTA. At 5:30 families will visit classrooms. We hope to see all of our families as this night will be informative and very important for the success of your student.

Our final team that we are THRILLED to finally announce... Mrs. Lim and Mrs. Houston!! 🎉🥳

Our fearless leaders that help make Thornwood the welcoming and safe environment that it is for our tigers. Each day they lead the school with a steady hand and clear vision for student success. They work hard for the teachers and the kiddos and provide daily support and smiles. Together, this dynamic duo creates a warm, welcoming community where every child can thrive.

Behind the scenes, these amazing educators are helping our tigers grow, build confidence, and reach their full potential every single day! Whether they’re strengthening reading skills, making math click, or strengthening their social and emotional learning, this team is dedicated to helping every child succeed!

Meet the team:

Ms. Gless - Math & Science Interventionist
Fun Fact: I grew up on a rice farm and every summer I drove a tractor to help my father harvest his crop! 🍚

Mrs. Roman - Reading & Bilingual Interventionist
Fun Fact: I grew up on a ranch, so by age 10, I used to wake up at 5am to milk two of my “pet” cows! 🐮

The next amazing team we would like to introduce.... Mrs. Mendoza, Nurse De La Garza, and Mrs. Luera!

These three help make our school run smoothly and are our queens behind the scenes! From answering phone calls, to enrolling our precious tigers, to always patching them up when needed, these 3 are always there! We truly could not do it without them!

Mrs. Mendoza’s Fun Fact:
I have a bearded dragon named Pauly 🐉who we rescued from PetSmart🙃

Nure De La Garza’s Fun Fact: I enjoy swimming and playing the piano 🩱🩱

Mrs. Luera’s Fun Fact: I was born and raised in Spring Branch and recently bought a home in Spring Branch with a pool 🏊

Thornwood is so grateful for these three!
