🍧 Snow Cone Day—Nothing says summer like snow cones! Our District Advancement Champions kicked off the season with a cool treat from Kona Ice.

📢 HASPRA—School communications professionals across the Houston area gathered at the McKinney Conference Center for this month's Houston Area School Public Relations Association (HASPRA) meeting. Guests sharpened their storytelling skills with guest speakers Matt Musil, former KHOU Reporter and current Communications Director of the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, and Randy McIlvoy, KPRC Sports Director. Special thanks to Finalsite for sponsoring the event.

📚 Access to the General Curriculum Conference—Guests learned strategies that strengthened teaching and learning for every student.

Dr. Nivens has served as Superintendent since 2021, leading the fastest-growing district of its size in Texas—with more than 47,000 students across more than 50 campuses.

With nearly three decades in public education, Dr. Nivens began his career as a teacher in Dallas ISD and has held multiple leadership roles across the state. A proud son of educators, he’s dedicated to advocating for excellent educational opportunities for all students.
