The purpose of Ignite is to help students develop their leadership capacity and confidence, by building self-awareness and teaching core personal competenc

The Ignite Leadership Program is a foundational competency based leadership development program designed for emerging leaders. Ignite is grounded in the belief that leadership is skill based and accessible to all who are motivated to learn and practice those skills. Ignite is a semester long program, offered during both the fall and spring, and is open to any undergraduate or graduate student with or without past leadership training or experience.

How will you lead? Start your leadership journey now by joining the Ignite Leadership Program to develop your leadership skills, meet fellow student leaders, and get involved at UH. The Ignite Leadership Program follows a cohort model and meets on Fridays from 1:00PM – 3:00PM where we focus on specific leadership skills and competencies. Students in the program will participate in a small group led by an Ignite peer mentor, as well as service and social events throughout the semester.
