Dear SBISD Families, Students and Staff,

SBISD administration continues to closely monitor the weather and guidance from local officials as Tropical Storm Edouard moves through the Houston area. Senior staff will participate in a Region 4 weather briefing at 7:30 p.m. this evening to receive the latest updates from county meteorologists.

At this time, we plan for a regular school day tomorrow, Wednesday, September 2.

Please continue to monitor the SBISD website, district social media channels and local news outlets, as well as email and text messages from the district.

Spring Branch ISD will have a regular school day today, Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

In an abundance of caution, all after school activities are canceled as the possibility increases for heavy rain to move through our area this afternoon. Coaches will reach out directly to their students.

District administration will continue to monitor the weather and guidance from local officials as Tropical Storm Edouard continues to move through the Houston area.

Dear SBISD families, students and staff,

SBISD administration is monitoring the weather as a result of Tropical Depression #5 currently in the Gulf. We were on a Region 4 weather call this afternoon at which time county officials indicated the major impact will most likely be to the south and east of I-45. You may hear some districts in those areas closing in an abundance of caution due to anticipated weather in those communities.

At this time, we anticipate a regular school day on Tuesday, September 1. District officials will participate in a 4 a.m. Region 4 weather call tomorrow morning for the latest updates.

Please monitor the SBISD website, social media channels, text messaging and local news media in the event of any change to our plan for a regular school day on Tuesday.

Thank you for your cooperation as we always keep the safety and security of our students and staff as our highest priority.

Again, at this time, SBISD plans for a regular school day on Tuesday, September 1.
