It was a pleasure to attend the Communication & Marketing Career Mixer at the University of Houston.
Thank you Jack J. Valenti School of Communication & UH Bauer College of Business for having us!
We are going to talk about communicating! Save April 13th (noon to 1PM CST) for a panel discussion we are co-hosting with the Jack J. Valenti School of Communication (Valenti). From Houston to Alaska, panelists will explore the role communications has had on climate change. Dr. Summer Harlow of Valenti will serve as moderator for climate change communicators Jaime Gonzalez-The Nature Conservancy in Texas, Rick Thoman-University of Alaska Fairbanks, Christina Stone-U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and Andrew Freedman, climate and energy reporter for Axios.

Meet the cast of The Revolutionists by Lauren Gunderson. Melissa J. Marek portrays Marie Antoinette, less of a badass than her on-stage sisters, but still the fascinating former queen of France (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marie_Antoinette). Melissa is a graduate of HSPVA Theatre Department here in Houston and has a BA in radio and television from UH Jack J. Valenti School of Communication. She is self-employed as the design director for Phillips & Marek and specializes in healthcare and arts and entertainment. In addition to acting on stage for Dirt Dogs, she volunteers behind-the-scenes as the marketing director, responsible for efforts such as season artwork, programs and social media. We welcome Melissa back to the Dirt Dogsโ stage where we last saw her perform as Claire in Boston Marriage.
๐ COVID couldnโt keep our newest Cougar grad down! While our Digital & Social Media Account Coordinator, Sharon, officially graduated from University of Houston Jack J. Valenti School of Communication in December, she FINALLY walked today! Congrats Sharon McKeown! Weโre proud of you! ๐
How can I join the skull
I would like to know about valent school.
Noah Key majored in Media Production with a minor in the Honors Creative Work program.
"The Honors College at UH really helped me grow as a student, as an artist, and as a person. From its amazing resources, to the numerous honors organizations, I felt a true sense of belonging at the university. As I head towards the future, I will continue to work on my career as a cinematic storyteller in Houston and plan to attend graduate school for film and screenwriting within the next few years."
Congrats Noah!
