Beth Anne Willhelm
Class of 1981
Beth Anne Willhelm, born on November 16, 1962, passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 62. A lifelong Houstonian, her life was deeply rooted in the city and community she loved.
She graduated from St. Thomas’ Episcopal School, where she excelled as a competitive highland dancer, a passion that reflected her grace, discipline, and vibrant spirit. She participated in numerous dance competitions throughout the United States and in Scotland. Beth went on to attend The University of Houston and was a proud and active member of Chi Omega Sorority, forging lasting friendships and creating wonderful memories.
With a love for the arts, Beth worked at Stages Theater and in the fashion industry before becoming a Retail Sales Executive for Liz Claiborne Corporation — a job she especially loved and remembered fondly throughout her life. Her retail work ended with her experience as Retail District Manager for Parlux LTD.
Powered by her strong faith and love of the Lord, Beth felt called to a position at The Vineyard Church of Sugar Land. She gave her all in this role, serving others with compassion and treating everyone she met with dignity and respect. She was also an artist at heart, creating beautiful paintings, needlework, and jewelry.
Beth was the beloved eldest daughter of Nell and Don Willhelm, by whom she was preceded in death. She is survived by her sister, Amy Willhelm Hill; her brother, Carter Willhelm; her extended family; her godsons, John and Chris Lanham; and many friends who will always remember her kindness, humor, and unwavering love for those close to her. Beth’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of all those who were blessed to know her.
A Celebration of Life for Beth will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 5308 Buffalo Speedway, Houston, Texas 77005. A livestream of the memorial service will be available at https://vimeo.com/event/5377193, beginning at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Thomas’ Episcopal School, noting the Scottish Arts Program in the memo line.

We are saddened to share the loss of Mrs. Suzanne "Sue" White, who taught French and was the sixth-grade girls' homeroom teacher at STE during the 1980s and 1990s. She is remembered as a caring person, skilled teacher, supporter of the Scottish Arts, and mother to alumni Ann-Marie and Greg. We extend our condolences to the White family during this difficult time. Please see the attached information regarding her Celebration of Life service on March 17.
