Heaven Sent Choirs

DAISY OVIEDO, the oldest in the Oviedo siblings, has been a part of Heaven Sent Choirs for 7 years. She has been a part of Rhapsody, Laudate, TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble for 3 years in a row, making the TPSMEA Region Mixed Choir 3 times, and making the TPSMEA All-State choir twice!
Through her High-School years, she has made wonderful and sweet memories and long-lasting friends through Heaven Sent. She has a deep passion for the Lord, and through that, she serves in her church cafe as a volunteer lead and sings in the kids’ choir! The Lord was able to use Daisy to impact the Anti-Human Trafficking ministry through Grace church of Humble for her Stars and Stripes award from American Heritage Girls. She was able to remodel 3 rundown rooms to become an office/meeting space for the leaders of the ministry, build a storage room, and make a mini changing room, while furnishing, repainting, and even installing flooring. In her free time, she is either baking for her family, singing her heart out in the kitchen, or crocheting while watching her shows! Her college plans are to go through WGU’s bachelor’s online course for IT and Data Analysis, and stay rooted in her church.

State Solo and Ensemble went so well!!
Laudate along with 3 of our soloists received a “1” which means Superior on their ensemble/solo pieces!
We’re so proud of your hard work!!

We are excited to announce that Jr. Singers and Chorale went to contest today and both received a score of “2” for their concert which means “EXCELLENT”!
We also took Chorale to the Sight Reading portion of the contest as well. We are extra excited to announce that they received a score of “1” for their sight reading which means “SUPERIOR”!! They worked extremely hard all year to learn, improve, and master their sight reading skills. They received a trophy for this that we will display at our concert!

Choir Trip Day 3!
We visited the Alamo, sang in front of the Alamo, visited the best ice cream shop (and sang for them!), lunch at Mi Tierra, and finished with shopping and a performance at El Mercado, Historic Market Square!

Choir trip day 2!
We started with watching “Alamo, The Price of Freedom” at the IMAX, lunch at Casa Rio, the 4 Ripley’s locations, San Fernando Cathedral, and fun at the mall!
On to Day 3!

Choir Trip Day 1!
We performed at and toured Natural Bridge Caverns first. We even got to sing inside the cavern!
We then checked into our hotel and rode on a fun river cruise. Our tour guide was top notch!
We ended day 1 with a pizza party 🍕
On to Day 2!

April brings a lot of fun things for Heaven Sent. Solo Day, Choir Trip to San Antonio, Concert and Sight Reading Contest, State Solo and Ensemble, and a fun theme day!
