Monday morning starts with an empty room. Oops and I forgot to mention other days too!

We share our space, so some days, the classroom gets packed away. Sheets over the shelves, everything rolled to the wall. Every week I build it back.

Not so it looks nice although I make sure it always does 😉. So that a child who walks in the next day knows exactly where the work waits, and can start their morning without asking anyone.

That’s the whole thing, really. A room a child can trust.

This is how a child hand prepares to write, long before the pencil ever touches paper!
Every material builds towards this goal. By the time writing “starts”, the hand has already been practicing for months.

First week of school complete!
This is what it looked like: Easing into the daily routine and work cycle, small hands doing big work. Making a new friend. A quiet kind of focus we didn’t expect to see this soon and a lot of joy in between.
We couldn’t be prouder of how our students have adjusted to the new school year in the new environment. Here’s to many more weeks like this one!

In just a couple of days, little hands will find their new work! We’ve put the finishing touches on every shelf and in every corner of the classroom. We are so ready to welcome our students back to school!

Our first fall cohort begins August 3rd with our second cohort beginning in September. We have limited space remaining across full-time and part-time schedules, apply now or message us and we’ll help figure out what fits your family. 🌼

Missing moments like these. Our new classroom sits quiet in July but we’re putting a lot of heart into preparing it for their return, ready for all these moments to happen again. 🤗

I’m finally ready to share the big news! If you’ve been here from the beginning you know how long and strenuous the search has been to find the right location for our micro-school. I have looked at some really great properties and some really NOT so great properties with a vision for the beautiful community that I believe our children deserve to learn and grow in. Every deal that didn’t go through has led me to this point. This partnership gives us the opportunity to grow and offer everything that I dreamed of to our families that truly deserve more options for education. Bayou Blossoms is planting its roots here in the East End and I am SO EXCITED! I can’t wait to share this journey to new beginnings with everyone. There’s much more to come!
