SFA High School, Class of '76, 50th Reunion To keep our alumni updated on upcoming fundraising events, meetings, and 50th reunion I graduated from Stephen F.

Austin High School, Class of 1976

Upon graduation, I started working at Schlumberger Well Services, off the Gulf Freeway. I had a wonderful mentor, who encouraged me to go back to school, and after 20 years of going to night school, earned my Bachelor degree in Communications. During the years at Schlumberger, I had many roles. I was as an administrative assistant working in Purchasing, then I wa

s transferred to Personnel and worked at the Sugarland location as Retiree Coordinator. After a couple of years there, I was promoted and transferred to the Rosharon location. Upon receiving my degree, I was promoted to exempt status and my new title was Technical Writer. I transferred to the Documentation department where I worked with mechanical and electrical engineers to provide Completion technical manuals for the oilfield. I loved my position; however, after 42 years at Schlumberger I was ready for the life of leisure and turned in my request to be a retiree on April 1, 2019. It seems like yesterday, that I retired and my life is flying fast, but I'm enjoying it every step of the way!

NOTICE – Meeting Date Change

To allow committee members time to finalize important details with The Palms, our reunion meeting has been rescheduled to:

Thursday, September 10th
Sagemont Civic Center
6:00 p.m.

Updates and details from the meeting with The Palms will be shared at our reunion meeting.

We are now in the final stages of planning. If you have a proposal or idea you would like the committee to consider, please come prepared to present the details, including any associated costs. This will allow members to discuss the proposal and vote accordingly.

We appreciate everyone’s continued participation and support as we finalize plans for our reunion.

Ladies/Gentlemen:

I would like to announce a few changes regarding our 50'th reunion plans.

First of all, it was decided to move from the Knights of Columbus hall-Pearland to:

The Palms Event Center
15301 Gulf Freeway
Houston, Tx 77034

This is an ALL inclusive venue which covers the hall, decorations, music, food, and security.

With the move to The Palms Event Center, our celebration will be on:

Friday, November 6th, from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Save the date and tune in, as ticket sales will begin soon.
