Founders, when’s the last time you did something just for you? 👀

I love running my own business. It has been such an educational and rewarding experience. However, I get so wrapped up playing so many roles that I forget to let loose and spend some time away from the business.

But there are various other ways to enjoy yourself. I am a walking billboard of “Work Hard, Play Hard.” Very rarely do I drink, so my “play hard” looks very different than most - but I still know how to have fun.

With that being said, let this be a friendly reminder that you can do ‘fun sh*t’ while running your business.

A creator with almost 2 M followers just told his audience that sleeping after 11pm wrecks your hormones — here’s why that’s not how it actually works 🚨

Cortisol is affected by a lot more than your bedtime — stress load and overall sleep quality/quantity matter far more than the specific hour you fall asleep. Research on sleep timing and metabolic health (like insulin resistance) is correlational. But correlation doesn’t equal causation— meaning research doesn’t show that a later bedtime causes these problems. If your sleep is consistent and your circadian rhythm is regulated, going to bed before 11 pm isn’t the health risk it’s being made out to be.

Ever wonder why you feel completely wrecked after a flight — even when your sleep “looks normal” again? 👀✈️

Here’s the science: jet lag isn’t really about how many hours you slept. It’s about your internal clock. You’ve got a cluster of brain cells called the suprachiasmatic nucleus that runs your body on a 24-hour cycle — and it doesn’t just control sleep. It also regulates digestion, hormones, and immune function. That clock can stay out of sync with wherever you landed for days, even if you force yourself back onto a “normal” schedule. That’s why your gut can feel off and your body can feel drained, even after your sleep looks fine on paper.

Skipping the gym is costing you thousands a year. Let me break it down.

I used to be a financial analyst. So trust me when I tell you: not working out is one of the most expensive decisions you’re making.

The CDC says physical inactivity costs the U.S. $192 billion a year in healthcare. Regular exercisers save up to $2,500 a year in medical costs. And the “I can’t afford a trainer” math never includes the ER visits, the sick days, or the prescriptions you’re paying for instead. Funny how that works.

April is National Minority Health Month — and I need to talk about something that hits close to home.

South Asian adults are 2x more likely to develop Type 2 diabetes by midlife. Black adults are 60% more likely to be diagnosed. And across minority communities, the rates keep climbing.

But here’s what gets me fired up: research shows that just 30 minutes of daily movement can cut your risk by 58%. In minority communities? That number is even higher — up to 71%.

You don’t need a $200/month gym. You don’t need to train like a competitor. You just need to move and you need to do it consistently.
