At the University of Fondwa, surrounded by the mountains and farms that sustain communities, we are reminded that the future of Haiti is being cultivated every day through education, agriculture, leadership, and local development.
May the flag continue to inspire unity, hope, and a shared commitment to building a stronger Haiti together.

On May 1, the University of Fondwa hosted a vibrant Local Product Showcase featuring locally made natural products from across the region.
What made the event especially meaningful was seeing current students and alumni showcasing products from the small businesses they are building themselves. From food products to handmade goods, the fair highlighted entrepreneurship, local production, and the growing impact of higher education rooted in rural community development.
At the University of Fondwa, students are not only earning degrees. They are creating opportunities for themselves, their families, and their communities.

⭐️Student Spotlight⭐️
Naika grew up in the mountains of Monika. She could have left. She chose to stay.
Now she's studying Business Management at the University of Fondwa with one goal: to go back home and build businesses that create jobs for her community.
This is what Haiti's future looks like.

🌺 A gift that doubles its impact.
Thanks to TWO generous donors, every gift to the University of Fondwa (UNIF) in Haiti will be MATCHED dollar for dollar, to fund 56 new scholarships for students who are ready to change their communities.
$25 becomes $50. $500 becomes $1,000. $3,000 funds a full scholarship and the match supports another student.
41% of UNIF's students are women, studying agronomy, veterinary medicine, and business, fields that are essential to rural Haiti's future. Our goal is gender parity, and these 56 scholarships will help us get there.
Most UNIF students come from rural families where university would otherwise be out of reach. With this support, they can focus on their studies and return home as professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders.
We're already off to a strong start. 10 of the 56 scholarships are funded. But we need your help to go further.
Will you fund the next one? 👇

📣 Students Take the Mic at UNIF!
For a full month, students at the University of Fondwa gathered every morning from 7–8 a.m. during prayer time to debate important national and international issues—from food sovereignty to universal health care. Organized by fourth-year agronomy student Slanta Nicolas from Thomassin, the competition aimed to help students build confidence, sharpen their voices, and practice civil discourse on challenging topics.
The competition culminated on February 13 with a lively final debate on the question: “Does forgiving unfaithfulness show a lack of self-respect?” Congratulations to our winners: Lorie Francesca Riche (Agronomy), John Jamesely Theraud (Business Management), and Tony Jean Baptiste (Agronomy). 🏆
Debate. Dialogue. Determination. Winners announced tomorrow 🏆🔥
