What a incredible privilege to have Max Stossel today at SPX. Max is an award-winning artist and founder of Social Awakening. He has spent the past 10 years speaking with over a million students, parents and educators around the world about social media’s impact on our lives, and creating resources to help manage that impact.

Max was extremely gracious and generous with his time. We had a “Social Media and Your Kids” presentation for parents, “Education in The Age of Distractions” for the staff and faculty, and “We’ve Been Sneaking into Your Brains” for students.

The Rosary has been a part of the Dominican tradition for centuries, connecting prayer, reflection and the pursuit of truth. As we honored Our Lady of the Rosary, our St. Pius X community gathered in faith, remembering the call of St. Dominic to bring the Gospel into the world through prayer, study and preaching.

This is at the heart of a Dominican education: forming young people who seek truth, live their faith and use their gifts in service to others.

Congratulations to Matt Medrano, our September Teacher of the Month! 🎉

Matt brings a unique blend of kindness, wit and enthusiasm to the classroom, making even the most challenging AP Statistics and AP Calculus concepts approachable and engaging.

He inspires curiosity, encourages deep thinking, and helps students find confidence in tackling difficult problems.

Go Panthers, Go Matt Medrano!

Meet Reagan Stone and Reagan Whitley, our reporters/writers for Buzz Magazines. Links in comments.

Reagan Stone discovered her love for writing in grade school during Language Arts class.

“I want to write for School Buzz to strengthen my voice by writing from a journalist’s perspective while also inviting people into the place where I call home, St. Pius X.”
___

Reagan Whitley’s passion for writing comes from the thought of communication. She enjoys the publicity process of it all.

”Advertisement is my strong suit! I believe the world needs more people spreading the word of those who create, rather than keeping the stories to themselves, and that is what I am here to accomplish. I want the people who read The Buzz to know the fun, funky, exciting news of St. Pius X!”

We’ll be sharing their work so stay tuned!

Thank you to The Buzz Magazines for this incredible opportunity!
