Our SFdS community gathered for Mass and came together in faith and prayer as we begin another wonderful year.
We also welcomed our new students and staff and celebrated our 8th Grade Pinning Ceremony, where our newest student leaders received their pins—a symbol of the responsibility, virtue, and leadership they will carry throughout the year.
Please join us in praying for our Class of 2027 as they begin this important year of leadership. We also remember Nnaetomgi Balonwu, a beloved member of this class who passed away over the summer, and we hold his family, friends, and classmates in our prayers.
Prayer for our 8th Grade Students...
Dear Lord,
We praise and thank you for our 8th graders, the new leaders of St. Francis de Sales School.
We also pause to remember Nnaetomgi Balonwu, a beloved member of this class who passed away over the summer.
Hold him gently in your eternal care, Lord, and bring comfort to all who miss him. May his memory inspire us to cherish one another and to walk through this year with compassion and unity.
We pray that our 8th graders use their God-given talents to exercise servant leadership in serving their brothers and sisters in Christ.
May they always glorify you, Lord, and strive to be holy as the best versions of themselves by practicing the cardinal virtues of justice, temperance, fortitude, and prudence.
May Christ continue to be the anchor that keeps these 8th graders grounded in everything they do.
We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, who lives forever and ever.
Amen.
Congratulations, Class of 2027! We are so proud of you and can't wait to see you shine as leaders this year.
