The mission of the Emergency Medical Services Program is to provide an educated and competent emergency medical services workforce to the citizens of the community. The Emergency Medical Services Department functions in support of the San Jacinto College District’s mission and community needs while conforming to educational and training standards set by the Department of Transportation through the National Standard Curriculum.

(*Max salary applies to dual certified firefighter-paramedics - *Includes FLSA overtime. Does not include Paramedic Certification Pay)

*Paramedics must obtain fire certification within 1st year of employment: Department will support new hires through fire academy.
*Qualifications for lateral pay program requires dual Firefighter-Paramedic certifications and employment as a fulltime Firefighter or Paramedic for a not-for-profit or government public safety agency (Municipal/County agency, Emergency Service District, Fire or EMS District) that provides 911 emergency services, at the time of application.
