This year has been nothing short of extraordinary. I am deeply grateful for the passionate and committed members of ASDA who truly make this organization what it is. We are nothing without you. I am excited to see how each of you will continue to push it toward even greater impact.

Serving in this role has challenged me, refined me, and shaped me into a stronger leader and teammate. ASDA has given me opportunities to grow in ways I could not have experienced anywhere else. I will carry those lessons with me in every endeavor that follows.

Most importantly, I am beyond grateful for my team. I have watched each of you show up with dedication, integrity, and heart – whether in late-night meetings that turned into early mornings or in moments when showing up wasn’t easy. Your commitment never went unnoticed. Each of you has left a lasting mark on me, and I am proud to have played even a small role in your journeys.

This year has taught me more than I ever expected. I’ve learned how to work with different personalities, communicate with people who think differently than I do, and lead in a way that brings others together rather than apart. Dentistry is a rigorous journey long nights, hard exams, constant self-doubt but walking this path alongside people who truly understand the struggle makes it meaningful. What we’re doing isn’t easy, but it’s purposeful. And being able to celebrate that journey together is something I’ll never take for granted. - Joseph

Serving as a leader within ASDA has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my journey toward becoming a dentist. This organization has not only turned me into the person I am today, but it has also given me a family. Through ASDA, I have met truly incredible people who have not only filled my time here with memories, but have also taught me life lessons I’ll continue to carry into my career. To my officer teams, thank you for every moment and experience we’ve shared. You all have made me realize how precious life is while experiencing this journey together. To our members, I’ve enjoyed seeing your hard work and smiles these past two years and can’t wait to see you succeed as our future doctors. In the end, whether we’re volunteering under the sun, sharing a meal, or exhausted from long meetings, the truth is I would do it all over again. Gracias ASDA, los amo. - Helen

Time in college has meant time in ASDA. Both as a member and officer, too many great things have come as a result of my involvement in this organization. Serving as an officer has introduced me to many friendships which will continue into dental school, days and nights that will never be forgotten. ASDA provided people who all have the same career goal as me, only I met them in the light of social and fun settings.

As Treasurer my goal was to push membership and involvement as high as possible throughout this semester. We earned the highest membership count of all time and increased engagement thanks to the work of all of our officers and amazing members. Without ASDA, I would have not met my best friends and the network of people who I met with when I need help. ASDA taught me that no matter your personality or background, there will always be people like you who you will bond with. That’s what ASDA is and will always be to me.

As this year comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on how deeply ASDA has shaped me. What started as simply getting involved became one of the most meaningful parts of my journey. ASDA helped me grow into a more confident version of myself and gave me friendships and a sense of belonging I’ll always cherish.

As Secretary, one of my goals was to boost our community outreach with elementary and high school students and make our presentations more interactive and authentic. From 4th graders doing the floss dance to high schoolers attempting DAT questions during our student panels, seeing our community engaged and excited about dentistry made every effort worth it. I loved watching all of your beautiful faces continue to return to community outreaches throughout the year.

Thank you for the laughter, the long meetings, and the unwavering support. Serving alongside such driven and kindhearted individuals has been a privilege. ASDA has given me more than I can put into words, and I am endlessly grateful. With all my love,

A year ago, I joined ASDA, not fully knowing what it would bring into my life. What I found was far more than people interested in dentistry. I found people who would become some of my closest friends and always be there in times of laughter or adversity. I’ve been honored to serve as your Community Service Chair this year, and it has been amazing seeing each and every one of you laughing, having fun, and building relationships with each other at all the different volunteer events, whether it’s a deeper connection with the people you already know or a new connection with someone that just joined! These same bonds are strengthened through the frequent post-event meal runs because they give us all a chance to try new food (or old) and relax after a day of service while sharing stories and inside jokes. I can confidently say that the relationships that you build through ASDA will last you a lifetime, long after all the meetings and events are over. Thank you to all the officers and members for allowing me to serve you and create memories that I’ll carry with me far beyond this year. - izaan

Looking back, I feel incredibly grateful for the moments, friendships, and memories that made this year so meaningful. From the energy at every event to the support and encouragement shared among members, this community continuously reminded me how special ASDA truly is. Watching everyone come together not just as members, but as friends has been something I will always cherish.

When I stepped into the Historian role, I came in hoping to elevate the organization creatively while also creating a space to showcase the many creative talents within our members. I wanted ASDA to feel centered around the people who make it what it is. Whether through the visuals we created, the stories we captured, or the moments we celebrated, my goal was to highlight the individuality, passion, and creativity that exist within this chapter. I truly hope you all were able to feel an elevated ASDA this year, one that prioritized your experience and reflected the spirit of our organization.

To my fellow officers and to all of our members, thank you for trusting me to capture your memories and milestones. It has been such a joy getting to know you, working alongside you, and forming friendships that extend far beyond meetings and events. Every laugh, late night, and shared success made this role more rewarding than I ever could have imagined. - derek

Words cannot fully describe how grateful I am to be part of ASDA as this year comes to an end. Looking back, it’s crazy to think I once worried about who I would be friends with and had no idea what I wanted to do. Now, I’ve been given a family I can rely on and guidance that continues to push me toward my goals.

Because the ASDA community impacted me so deeply, I wanted to give back and help grow the very community that helped me grow. I never expected that serving as your Public Relations Chair would change me so much for the better. From screaming at the top of our lungs at dodgeball tournaments, to late-night intramural soccer games, to our funny, awkward icebreakers . Every moment is a memory I’ll always cherish.

To my officer team, your determination and work ethic inspired me to push beyond my limits. As an officer, you guys helped me grow in countless ways. As a friend, you guys showed me what it truly means to be there for someone. Thank you all for being part of my story and for letting me be part of yours. You all have truly changed my life for the better.

As this year closes, I’m excited to watch the family we built continue to grow. I know the future of ASDA is bright, and I’m proud to look back and say I was part of that journey. - Thosam
