Panda Chess Academy Closed Sat, Jan 24 (9:30 AM–5:30 PM) – Safety First Amid Winter Storm Due to expected winter weather conditions, Panda Chess Academy will be closed on Saturday, January 24, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM at our Westpark location (9900 Westpark Dr #252).

Spring 2026 Chess Programs – In-Person & Online Registration Open Registration is now open for Spring 2026 Chess Programs at Panda Chess Academy, including both Saturday in-person classes and tournaments in Houston and online chess classes held during the week and on Sundays.

Closed this Saturday November 8 and updates! - We will also be closed on Saturday, December 13 as scheduled. I will be at the Mandarin Immersion Magnet School chess tournament.- The last Saturday class and tournament for this semester will be Saturday, December 20.

Fall 2025 Online Chess Classes – Registration Now Open! Classes begin Tuesday, August 19 and run through December 21. We’ll continue with our popular format of small group lessons, puzzle solving, and practice games — all taught live by me, National Master Jeffrey Ashton.
