Dr. Daniel Maxwell, our Associate VC/VP of Student Affairs, hosted “Donuts with Dr. Dan” session with his fellow colleagues Dr. Monica Thompson, Executive Director of University Career Services and Dr. Anne Dayton, Director of the Cougar Initiative to Engage (CITE). Did you know that every Wednesday at the A.D. Bruce Religion Center, something awesome called Free Wednesday Lunch, and it’s more than just a meal—it’s a vibrant community initiative that brings students, faculty, and staff together for some serious bonding time! This program is open to all members of the University of Houston (UH) community, offering a welcoming space for individuals of diverse backgrounds. With an average of 300 participants per lunch and a whopping 4,630 served during the Fall 2023 semester alone, it’s clear that Free Wednesday Lunch is making a big impact on campus. Plus, with a diverse menu sponsored by different departments, ministries, and local houses of worship, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! Come join the fun and foster connections over a delicious meal—see you there!

Dr. Paul Kittle and UH staff experience the flavors and cultures of Houston at the Cultural Taste of Houston (CTOH) festival! The Council for Cultural Activities (CCA) at the University of Houston, brought together students, faculty, staff, and the community for a celebration of diversity through food, performances, and vendors. With over 1,200 attendees enjoying samples from 10 local restaurants and shopping at 11 unique vendors, this event continues to grow each year.
