On Wednesday, March 22, four LCC Graduates who are now studying at UH will be at Conversation Club to answer your questions and give you advice about life as a university student.

The Language and Culture Center (LCC) will offer three full scholarships for the Summer 2017 term. The full scholarships acknowledge distinguished achievement and honor legendary LCC leaders. The scholarships cover tuition and all fees (except books) for one term of study in the LCC.
• Joyce Valdes Scholarship
• Joseph Davidson Scholarship
• Brad Powell Scholarship

Who is eligible?
Current LCC students in Levels 1 through 5 who plan to enroll for the immediately following term.

Who is not eligible?
• Level 6 students
• Past recipients
• Students who have a scholarship or sponsorship from another source during Spring 2017
• Students who owe money to the LCC or the University of Houston

How does a student apply?
Log in to the LCC Student System on the LCC website at lcc.uh.edu.

What is the first date to apply?
Monday, March 20, 9:00 a.m.

What is the deadline to apply?
Friday, March 31, 5:00 p.m.

Scholarships are awarded to students who show the following characteristics:
• Academic excellence
• Good class attendance
• Participation in class and program activities
• Leadership ability
• Intercultural understanding
• Positive interaction with classmates and teachers

Notes:
• LCC scholarships are based on merit and not based on a student’s financial need.
• All applicants will be considered for all three scholarships.
• Applicants must be present at the LCC Graduation Ceremony to receive the scholarship.

Spring 2017 Online Registration Open 1/10/17 - 1/17/2017

Online registration for the Spring 2017 term will open at 9:00am CST on January 10th and end at 5:00pm on January 17, 2017. All accepted new and returning students must complete online registration in order to attend classes for the Spring 2017 term.

New Students:

All new students and students returning from a vacation term must attend Student Check-In on January 17, 2017, Testing on January 18, 2017 and Orientation on January 20, 2017. If you have any questions about online registration please contact the LCC office by phone or email at 713-743-3030 or [email protected]

Returning Students:

Students who studied during the Fall 2016 term and completed all tests must complete online registration from January 10 – January 17, 2017, but they do not need to attend Student Check-In on January 17, 2017 or Testing on January 18, 2018. If you are unsure if you need to attend Check-In or Testing or have any questions about online registration please contact the LCC office by phone or email at 713-743-3030 or [email protected]
