The Law Library celebrates Juneteenth! Our Juneteenth display features resources on slavery and the law. Many of these resources can be found in our Special Collections. The Law Library Special Collections contains materials that focus on the African American experience in North America and abroad. Items in Special Collections are for Library Use Only. Please be advised that the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Library will be closed next Friday, June 19, 2026 for the Juneteenth holiday. Juneteenth celebrates the end of slavery in the United States. It is the oldest-known commemoration marking the end of slavery and was first recognized by the state of Texas. It is now a federal holiday and will be celebrated by the entire university with a campus closure. Our Summer Hours will resume the next day.
