Join us in our mission to guide Houston high school students towards higher education by signing up this semester as a Dream Mentor. ALL current Rice undergrad or grad students are welcome. Don't forget to apply to be a Head Mentor for Spring 2020! As a HM, you would influence the direction of DREAM, run your own mentoring session at a high school, and interact with more educators in the Houston community. Only one semester as a mentor is required (even if it was 2 years ago!) Join our team and help us make a difference.

Hey DREAMers, .stagram here from the department of ! I wanted to share with you some of the cool work engineers can do at the ! This image of metal oxide particles synthesized in our lab have what is called a spinel octahedral morphology. We use a scanning electron microscope ( ) to see them up close! To give you an idea of how big this is, the width of this micrograph is about half the thickness of a single human hair!

Austin had a great DREAM Day today! We saw a wide variety of solar vehicles, and a special congratulations to team Metro, McQueen, and Not Raphael for winning 1st, 2nd, and Most Creative! Finally, Adam and I would like to thank Mr. Johnson for working with DREAM since the very beginning and welcoming us into his classroom the past four years. We will miss working with you!!
