Watching this group of NTB kids at the competition filled my librarian heart with pride. They did their best, supported one another, and showed what love of reading looks like.
They are the kind of young people who make me feel hopeful about the future- readers who enjoy books, think deeply, and treat others with kindness.
Im grateful to be part of their reading journey.

So proud of our Peace Club students for showing up and showing out at the Milby One Beautification Day! 🌎💚
On a Saturday - when they could’ve been anywhere else (and definitely not out in the sun with dirty hands!) they chose to come out very early (that's how you know they are gardeners 😆) and help beautify our school grounds.
Your hard work and dedication to serving our community do not go unnoticed. You are true leaders!
Thank you Milby One for inviting us! Thank you to the community partners who donated food, water, and supplies.
Thank you, Dr. Cruz for making all of this happen.

When Lunar New Year and Valentine’s Day fall just days apart, you do your best to celebrate both - library style! Bringing a little extra joy to our library.
A huge THANK YOU to everyone who helped organize, decorate, and participated. Your creativity and energy made it all so special!

Today, we welcomed Barrio Dogs to Milby!
They talked to our students about caring for pets, being responsible pet owners, what to do if you find a lost animal, what to do when you come face to face with a stray and so much more.
We’re extra grateful that Hugo 🐕 joined in! He definitely stole the show and brought so many smiles! 🐶💙💛
Thank you, Barrio Dogs and Books Between Kids for providing books to the students who attended!
Thanks to the students who donated pet supplies! Great job to our Peace Club officers for making sure everything went smoothly!
PS more photos to follow! No phones so all our photos are in the YB camera SD card! We still have to transfer!

While most are winding down on Friday afternoons, our Peace Club students have been quietly making a difference - working on the garden, picking up recycling and contributing to the care of our school and environment.
No fanfare here. Just steady, thoughtful work.
I am deeply grateful for these students who choose to give their time and energy each week to something that benefits us all. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed -you are all appreciated.💙💛🌏🦋 🌱♻️

Huge shoutout to our amazing Peace Club members who stayed after school yesterday for our first gardening and recycling event of the school year!
They got their hands dirty in the garden, collected recycling around campus, and even helped clean out storage room.
While helping clean out storage, they stumbled upon forgotten boxes. And just like that… a spontaneous pop-up book giveaway was born!
The best part? Seeing so many kids light up as they picked out books to take home. Smiles, laughter, and excitement - what every librarian loves to see. 🥰
Sometimes the best events are the unplanned ones 💛
It was a great way to start the school year! With purpose and teamwork!
Let’s keep growing and going green! And reading! ♻️✌️📚

This librarian is officially off duty! (Well, sorta 😊) Vacation or not, it is always a good time to learn more!
Lots of new ideas from Setting the Trend! Plus I got to see lots of librarian buddies!

Watching our seniors cross the stage today was inspiring. Every step was a symbol of hard work, growth and a future full of promise.
To the Class of 2025 - we are so proud of you! We can’t wait to see the wonderful things you’ll go on to do.
It was also nice to see all our former students who came to celebrate class of 25!
