On Nov 2nd, our own Suparna Sarkar Banerjee performed a beautiful Odissi dance piece set to the "Nabadurga" piece, an extract from the verses of Bhagabati Stotram written by Ved Vyasa.

A scientist by profession, Suparna finds Odissi Dance a source of artistic expression as well as a means of connecting with her cultural roots.

This piece was performed at the kick-off meeting of the 46th North American Bengali Conference (NABC) hosted by the Cultural Association of Bengal (CAB) in New York.

We love your grace and expressiveness, Suparna!

Our weeklong workshop with Dr. Jyotsna Sahoo and her student, Chinmaya Das was educative and fun. We thank them for sharing their knowledge and time with us. For the beginners, it was their first experience of a workshop but they persevered and shone like stars. Dr. Sahoo was impressed by the senior group's talent and discipline.
