Rainard is Houston's only non-profit private school for gifted children. ents often develop profoundly deep interests on their own. At Rainard, we cherish these interests and work hard to nurture and develop them. Gifted children love a challenge, at their ability level and in each academic area. At Rainard, students are placed in classes of 10-12, with mixed age groups, where they fit socially and intellectually with their peers and can advance and move at their own individual pace as appropriate. Our curriculum is designed to be complex, linking multiple disciplines and intellectual areas. We strive to create an atmosphere of thought-provoking engagement, requiring higher-level thinking skills, analysis, synthesis, evaluation, and creativity in real-world situations. We embrace diversity and value the richness that a variety of perspectives and traditions can offer. It's not just our students who find a home at Rainard. Parents and caregivers often find understanding with others who have children like their own. In this way, Rainard becomes a real community for students and their families, too.
