This past Friday and Saturday, we celebrated two of the most meaningful traditions at St. Thomas — Baccalaureate Mass and Graduation for the Class of 2026. 🎓
During Friday’s Mass, our graduates and their families were joined by Fr. Earthman, Fr. Sample, Fr. Murphy, Fr. Hieu Nguyen, Fr. Trungson Nguyen, and Fr. Huber as they blessed the Class of 2026 and prayed over the journey ahead.
Then on Saturday, the St. Thomas community came together once more to celebrate the official graduation of the Class of 2026. Commencement speaker Weldon Granger left our graduates with words they’ll carry far beyond 4500 Memorial:
“Be real, not perfect.
Act boldly.
Brotherhood is forever.
Use your education to serve.
Carry faith, integrity, and brotherhood wherever you go.”
And of course, no St. Thomas graduation would be complete without a little humor — this year’s harmless senior prank had every graduate handing Fr. Murphy a penny as they crossed the stage. 💙
From heartfelt blessings to unforgettable laughs, this was truly a graduation weekend for the memory books.
Congratulations, Class of 2026. Once an Eagle, ALWAYS an Eagle. 🦅

Today, we celebrated a special milestone for the Class of 2027 at our Junior Ring Ceremony as they officially begin their journey toward becoming St. Thomas seniors.
During Mass, we also celebrated members of our community who completed their OCIA journey and recognized this year’s scholarship recipients for their hard work and dedication.
As Fr. Murphy reminded us today, “a circle has no end.”
Once an Eagle, ALWAYS an Eagle. 💙❤️

Our favorite furry friends were back on campus today!
For the final visit of the school year, Faithful Paws Pet Therapy stopped by to give our students some well-earned stress relief before finals and graduation. Even a few soon-to-be graduates couldn’t resist stopping by for some puppy love! 💙🐾

From the field to the screen, Evan Ingram ’26 continues to prove that excellence comes in many forms. 🎮🏆
Evan recently represented St. Thomas High School and the STH eSports Club at the Undisputed TEXSEF eSports Championship at Baylor University, finishing 4th overall out of 64 competitors from across the state of Texas.
Even more impressive? Evan received a personal invitation from tournament coordinators after Mr. Romero was contacted directly — a testament to his reputation as a nationally ranked gamer and varsity athlete.
Congratulations, Evan, on representing STH at the highest level both in athletics and eSports!

Checkmate. ♟️🏆
The St. Thomas High School Chess Club brought home the Cardinal DiNardo Cup at the Houston/Galveston Catholic Schools Tournament in Kingwood — defeating Strake Jesuit for the first time in nearly a decade!
Freshman Thomas Snapka and junior Luke Garcia both placed in the top three of the high school division, taking down opponents ranked far above them along the way.
Shoutout to Elliott Blessington, Isaac Guerrero, Craig O'Sullivan, Rocco Ybarra, Vinnie Equale, Dawson Wu, and Fred Shami for helping lead the team to victory through strategy, teamwork, and determination.
When Mr. Cuneo heard the news, his response said it all:
“HOLY CANNOLI!!! It’s a long, long time coming! Praise God!”
Congratulations to our Eagles on an incredible accomplishment!
