Friday’s Club Fair was a huge success!

With so many clubs, there’s an opportunity for every Eagle to explore his interests, try something new, and find his place in our community.

Which clubs are you joining this year? Tell us in the comments!

“God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work he had done in Creation.” — Genesis 2:3

Every class, every test, and every act of service has helped form you into the student you are today and the man you will become tomorrow.

This Labor Day, we recognize the value of good work—and the importance of rest. May our work always serve others and God’s creation, and may we find peace and joy in taking time to rest.

Keep learning. Keep serving. Keep putting in the work.

And today, enjoy your well-earned rest.

Today, on the Feast Day of St. Teresa of Calcutta, we celebrate one of House Allnoch’s patron saints and her extraordinary example of faith, compassion, and service.

Born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu in 1910, Mother Teresa devoted her life to serving those often forgotten by the world. After answering what she described as a call from Christ to serve “the poorest of the poor,” she founded the Missionaries of Charity in India where she cared for the sick, the dying, children, and those cast aside by society.

Her life reminds us that making a difference does not always require grand gestures. Often, it begins with choosing to see the person in front of us and responding with love.

“There are no great things, only small things done with great love.” — St. Teresa of Calcutta

St. Teresa of Calcutta, pray for us!

Alessandro Rivero ’20 graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in May 2026 with a degree in Foreign Area Studies and a minor in Spanish. During his time at the Academy, Alessandro competed as a Division I soccer player while completing experiences including the Jump 490 solo parachute program, combat survival training, and water survival training. Following graduation, Alessandro began pilot training at Vance Air Force Base, where he is currently stationed.

“I loved my time at St. Thomas and still regard it as some of the most fun and memorable years of my life. I still keep in close contact with many of those friends and often look back on the experiences we shared, especially those on the soccer team. St. Thomas gave me friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.”

Allow us to reintroduce our mascot — Tom Eagle!

He’s been the heart of EFND since 1958. But Tom is more than a mascot. He represents generations of Eagles who have walked these halls, carried our traditions forward and lived out the values of Goodness, Discipline and Knowledge.

For nearly 70 years, Tom Eagle has been there through it all — reminding us that no matter the challenge, Eagle Fight Never Dies.

This is our mascot. This is our why.

Today, we celebrate the Feast of St. Augustine, Bishop and Doctor of the Church, one of Christianity’s most influential thinkers, and a Patron Saint of House Belisch.

Augustine’s path to sainthood was anything but straightforward. For much of his early life, he searched for earthly fulfillment and the approval of others.

Through the faithful prayers of his mother, St. Monica, and his own encounter with Scripture, Augustine eventually chose a different path centered on truth and Christ.

His story reminds us that doing what is right is not always easy or popular. It takes courage to examine our lives, change direction when necessary, and stand firm in what we know to be true.

He reminds us that “Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it.”

May we have the courage to seek truth, choose what is right, and allow God to continually form us into who we are called to become.

St. Augustine, pray for us!
