🔬🍬 Science You Can Eat!

Our students took cell biology from the textbook to the table with their Edible Cell Projects!

Each student chose to create either a plant cell or an animal cell, then used different foods and candies to represent the cell’s structures and organelles. From the nucleus and cytoplasm to mitochondria, cell membranes, chloroplasts, and vacuoles, students had to think about what belongs in their type of cell—and where!

It was a fun, hands-on way to bring science to life, show what they’ve learned, and add a little creativity along the way.

And we have to admit… science is a lot more fun when you can eat your project when you’re finished! 🍭🧬

Learning in Pre-K means getting our whole bodies moving! 🤸‍♀️⭐️

This week our Pre-K students took on a fun and challenging gross motor activity that had them walking, jumping, and crossing over a line. These movements may look like play, but they’re helping build important skills like balance, coordination, body awareness, motor planning, and crossing the midline.

There were lots of smiles, lots of movement, and definitely a little concentration! 😊 The kids had a blast challenging their bodies and building skills through play! 💪
