Being Self-Aware helps students understand their emotions, recognize their strengths and reflect on how their choices affect themselves and others.

It’s the first of our six SPARKS values that help shape the culture across YES Prep. When Fifth Ward Elementary opens in August 2027, students will begin learning and practicing these values from their very first years in school. 💙

That same YES Prep experience is coming to Fifth Ward in August 2027 with the opening of YES Prep Fifth Ward Elementary.

This year, YES Prep earned its strongest academic results to date, including an overall B district rating and A ratings for all 15 secondary campuses.

You'll also learn how The Power of YES campaign is helping expand access to high-quality public education across Houston. With more than $70 million raised toward our $80 million goal, we're creating new opportunities for thousands of students and families.
