Our very own ATSSB 3A Representative, Benjamin Keltner, (and students from the Raymondville HS Band) will be presenting a clinic demonstrating helpful strategies for your small school band program! We hope you will make an effort to attend this clinic to support these students and possibly pick up some great new teaching tools!

ATSSB is sponsoring two clinics at this year’s TBA. “Unleashing Potential: Maximizing Small School Success” with clinicians Eric Gray, Sherry Poteet, Brian Sours, and Nate Templeton is today at 11:00 AM in room CC207 and “Leveling Up from Assistant to Asset: Maximizing Your Impact as an Assistant” with clinicians Shannon Rios, Alexa Sanchez, and Whitney Sims takes place at 8:00 AM on Saturday in Room CC207. We hope you can make it to one or both clinics!

As we close out the week before TBA, we want to recognize these talented small school band ensembles that have advanced to the state finals round of OPS! We encourage you to like and share this post to maximize the exposure that these ensembles receive!

The ATSSB OPS State Finals listening sessions will take place live in San Antonio at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center this coming Thursday, July 16th in correlation with the TBA Convention.

The listening sessions will be located in the Hemisfair Ballrooms (1-3). We strongly encourage small school directors in attendance at the TBA Convention to join one of these listening sessions.

The march category winner and two concert category winners for each classification will be announced throughout the day Thursday here on our ATSSB page, in person at the ATSSB booth on the Exhibit hall floor, and on our OPS page here: https://www.atssb.org/ops/

Again, congratulations to these wonderful ensembles, their students, their directors, and to the band programs and school districts for which they belong!
