The Polovtsian Dances are a dynamic scene from the second act of Borodin's Masterwork Prince Igor. Written for chorus and orchestra, they have some of the most remarkable melodies in the opera chorus literature. Hear the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra and Chorus perform this work at "An Afternoon at the opera" on Sunday, October 20th, at 2 pm, at the Stafford Centre. Grab your tickets now!

FYI one of my students won a high school concerto contest and will be performing with the Fort Bend Symphony Orchestra a Mendelssohn Concerto on Sunday, March 20 at 2 pm at the Stafford Center. Tickets are available on their website $12 -$25. The concert is also featuring opera and chorus selections. An Evening at the Opera is the title of the concert. Come and hear some great music and enjoy seeing all the talents presented.

I Have a student competing at the Chopin Society of Houston this Saturday. She is also on You Tube playing Chopin's Nocturne op.27 no.2 and Chopin's Black Key Etude. This event is every 2 years. She is awesome and has been with me three years now. She is only in 5th grade. Wish her luck and pray for her too. Anyone can take lessons from me whether as a hobby, just for fun, or for more serious works as she is doing. Anyone interested - just call!

Hello to all my music friends and family. Hope you have a great summer filled with beautiful and inspiring music. Let me know if any of you want to take summer lessons in voice, piano, or music theory. Latest news is that one of my piano students is going for her second year in both the Houston Chopin Society piano competition as well as the Houston Steinway competition. I teach both beginners of all ages as well as those who are extremely into playing for competitions and festivals. If you want lessons for fun as a hobby or want to excel I can definitely help you with your goals. Keep having fun and learn as much as you can to enrich your life and those around you and sing for joy that we live in a great time in history!!!!
